Engagement Shoot in Downtown Toronto at the Distillery District and Brookfield Place; K+Larry

I’ve said this a couple of times already in past blogs, but this right here by far is the most complicated Esession shoot I have done so far, first we were kicked out of the Distillery District for not having a permit, note to self, next time get a permit! We headed outside the property and just shot outside, frankly I thought the shots were awesome, we did not need to be inside to get great shots. We were doing good until about 25 minutes into the session, this freak May weather came, it would rain, the sun would shine, rain pellets would fall, the wind would gust, in a matter of minutes changes occur, so we were running around shooting, getting wet, freezing and then thawing LOL! I had so much fun and excitement I hope my clients did too. After all this, we did a shoot and run inside the Brookfield Place in Downtown Toronto, literally it was a shoot and run as Larry’s Infiniti was parked illegally outside the building. Hehe, I get excited again just blogging about this shoot.I’d like to thank my buddy Gener for coming out to help me with this shoot.

K was a bridesmaid and a friend of one of my previous brides Sara, K is an intern architect and Larry is an IT guy with a passion for portrait and people photography. I get flattered when folks into arts hire me, makes me feel I am doing something right. LOL! I am looking forward to shooting their wedding this June in the Estates of Sunnybrook.

Mississauga Grand & Mariachi Wedding Photos – Carlos + Ashley

This is our first wedding of the year, Carlos from Costa Rica and Ashley of Japanese and Canadian blood getting married in Mississauga plus me being Filipino Canadian haha!, truly an international event. Although still winter, Ashley and Carlos’ love gave us the warmth we needed to shoot outside in the cold, awww, really though, something about this simple yet elegant wedding took away the winter blues. I’d like to thank my buddies, Gener, Butch and Julie for coming along to shoot. Oh, I forgot to mention they had an authentic Mexican Mariachi Group perform at the reception, I tell you, you’ll have goose bumps when you hear these guys live, one of the many reasons why I love doing this. Engagement Shoot – Winter in Toronto Humber Bridge and Union Station – Carlos + Ashley

This is my first shoot this year, it’s a winter engagement session with Carlos and Ashley, we started at the place where they first met, in Yorkville at Babalu, it was closed so we just shot outside by the sidewalk, we then head to the Humber Bridge and spent some time there shooting outdoors, it was a glorious sunny winters day, beautiful! After, we went and parked at the convention center and took the skywalk on the way to the Union Station shooting along the way. By the way, for those who ask, do we need a permit to shoot at the Union Station in Toronto? Yes you do. This was a very fun afternoon I’d like to thank my buddy Gener for coming along. Engagement Shoot at the Airplane Museum in Hamilton – Dee+Sharon

This is my first time doing an aviation themed E-Session, shooting at the Hamilton Airport Museum was a lot of fun, you get to go in the cockpit and the tarmac as well. This was all Sharon’s idea and I was excited the first time I heard it. It became really challenging though when we shot outside on the tarmac, for some reason it was really windy and freezing, by the time I got to set up with my friend Gener we were already frozen, we called out Dee and Sharon the started shooting, we couldn’t get really good shots as Sharon’s hair is flying all over the place and they were also frozen in minutes, I managed to come up with a few good ones and the main image you see above is one of them, this will be one of my all time favourite shots. Here is a two day shoot by Red Studios, Joy Olayta second shot for us on the first day where she covered the groom getting ready. I (Red) was at the brides house in the getting ready stage then we converged at the Gurdwara around 10 am where we did the Milni and the Sikh wedding ceremony, afterwards we went to Chingacousy Park for some shots the we proceeded to the brides house for the Departure of Doli, then lastly at the grooms house. Reception followed the next day where I started from the hotel and actually drove the couple to the reception where I continued shooting, I was happy to see Kamal and Bev, my previous clients who recommended me to this wedding, Thanks again guys! Vic and Deepy are very nice and down to earth. I love them. Here are my favourites from day 1.

Wedding Photography in Edgewater Manor in Stoney Creek – Kevin + Tanya

We are privileged to be a part of Kevin and Tanya’s wedding in this glorious summer day at the Edgewater Manor in Stoney Creek Ontario, this has got to be one of the most elegant wedding venues west of Toronto, the view is spectacular and the venue is intimately elegant. Tanya was so beautiful she looked like a star from a movie and Kevin was a dashing debonair having the best time with buddies and family. Dale and Stephanie are having a destination wedding next year, they wanted to do an engagement shoot in Canada, the location of their choice, Yorkville. There are so many cool backgrounds that you can use when you shoot in Yorkville and if you are lucky, you might see some celebrities too , we also spent some time shooting at the Royal Ontario Museum ROM We spent the evening together just walking around, stopping and shooting when we see nice spots, here are some of my favourites from the set.

Hi friends! Thank you for stopping by my blog. This is the first of a 3 series engagement photo shoot session with couple Dee and Sharon, I will be shooting their wedding in March next year. For our first theme they decided on a basketball themed shoot, obviously they are great fans of the sport as you will see in the photos. It was a really fun shoot, except for the heat and humidity inside the gym, note to self, bring a towel when shooting a basketball themed engagement session in the summer, it can get pretty sweaty, hehehe! We did this shoot in a gym in Oakville, I’d like to thank the guys for being accommodating during our E-Session. Here are some of my favourites from the shoot.

Engagement Session in the Distillery District and the Docks in Downtown Toronto – Vic and Deepy

Vic and Deepy are couples from a group of many friends who all trusted me with their wedding photos, one couple, Kamal and Bev has now become quite a few, thanks for the trust!

Deepy and I have been emailing back and forth trying to decide a good place to shoot their E-Session, we finally decided on the distillery district, a good choice although there are so many people on the day we did the shoot, Vic and Deepy were a bit nervous in the beginning but soon enough they were rocking there model poses We then moved to the docks to have another set of photos and have the Toronto skyline as backdrop of their engagement photos. A good day and fun shooting all in all if not the heat. I am lucky to have these wedding clients very nice and down to earth, Thanks for the hotdog sandwich Deepy!
