Here is a wedding coverage done in the winter (December 2011) thankfully we had a mild one this year. This is a Sri Lankan celebration. The park photos were done at the Oakville Conservatory Gardens.

I get great thank you emails from my brides all the time, but this one has to be one of my favourites:

Hello Red,
Sorry for the late email. We’ve been out of town and I wanted to respond to you once I had access to a computer. WOW! Saying thank you won’t truly cover how grateful we are for the wonderful work you’ve put into the wedding photos in general and especially the wedding book, but thank you so much! It’s absolutely perfect and there isn’t one change that we would make. I love how the garden shoot looks so tropical and the wedding looks so wintery!. How do we select the prints etc? If there is anything you need to meet with me for I will be back from mid-March to mid-April but I’m not in a huge rush for anything. Thanks again so much for your beautiful beautiful work!

Fall E-Session Photos at the Brickworks and Downtown Toronto – Nick and Charlett

I have to say this is my favourite engagement photoshoot this year, everything was perfect this one fall day, it was raining and cold the days before but we were lucky to have that light and warmth, it was worth the drive for them from Pennsylvania just for this shoot. Pennsylvania? wuh? well the couple just moved there this late summer for Nick’s work, he just finished Astro-Physics at UofT, Astro-Physics? wuh? I know eh, he doesn’t look like it at all, both him and Charlett can be models and they were rocking poses all day long. I love these guys, so fun to work with and down to earth, the photo in black and white below is in a back alley filled with garbage bins but they were really cool with it, haha! I can’t wait for next summer to do their wedding. I shot around 280 photos the whole time we were together and I love them all, below are some.

Niño and Mhel – Wedding reception photos at the Monte Carlo Inn in Markham

Niño is the youngest child of the Gozum family, they are our adaptive family here in Canada, when my family first came here, we had no relatives and no friends, we were alone, the Gozums welcomed us and made us part of the family. We will forever be grateful to them.

I was a guest with a camera at this wedding as I shot along Alvin (groom’s brother who is also part of the wedding entourage). Below are some of the photos I shot, my son Andrew is in one of the photos, my wife and my favorite god daughter Nelli, Alvin is the one goofing off in the car photo. It’s a different experience being a guest and shooting at the same time but I am really glad to be a part of this special day for the Gozum Family.

Toronto – GTA Wedding Photos | John and Aerin

John and Aerin hired me through their sister Belinda Reyes a friend in the Filipino Show Business industry in the GTA. Belinda from the beginning handled all the wedding plans and I can say great job Belinda I think you will do really well in the wedding planning business.

It was a rainy day on this wedding so we were limited on places to shoot, we weren’t able to do our park shoot, good thing the Premiere Place (venue) had a nice lobby area so we were able to take a few shots indoors. We also set up a portable studio at the lobby and had shots of the couple with their guests. The setting and attention to detail they put in to this wedding was awesome, food was great and the atmosphere is of love and affection. John and Aerin are lucky to have such loving and caring family and friends, everyone went out of their way to make this wedding a great one. I was actually emotional and cried twice, a first for me, hehe. Congratulations John and Aerin. Here are some of our favourites.

Wedding Photography at the Markham Museum | Geoff and Karina

Most of our clients are nice people, Geoff and Karina are up there in that category, I am so happy to be a part of their special day. The wedding ceremony was held at a chapel inside the Markham Museum, this place is great for wedding photos, beautiful, we were so lucky that a brief thunderstorm happened while we were inside during the wedding, everything was good for photos afterwards. The reception followed at The School, guest and family are a mix of Francophones and Anglophones and it was nice to see everybody happy and loving each other, it’s a good feeling. Here are some of our favourites of the day. P.S. I am trying to convince the couple to submit the photos to wedding magazines, these two look great don’t you agree?

Wedding Photos in Milton and Hilton Garden Inn in Mississauga | Paul and Christine

Team Red and Alvin (!) covered this wedding ceremony in Milton Ontario and the reception at the Hilton Garden Inn in Mississauga. The park shoot was one of the highlights of the day for us, the garden was awesome for the wedding family portraits, the wedding party was a fun bunch, we went walking in Downtown Milton and even took shots at their favourite bar. It was an enjoyable day of wedding photography, here are our favourites.

Engagement photos in Oakville Harbour | Oneal and Rathini

We will be covering Oneal and Rathini’s engagement party in December, the photography package they booked has an engagement photo session. We decided in Oakville Harbour and hoped for no rain as Oneal will just be here in Canada for a few days, he is in the U.S. army. There are lots of interesting spots at the Oakville for an e-session, you just have to set the right time to do your engagement photo shoot, these are some of our favourites.

Indian weddings are always fun to shoot, this is Ravi and Bees day, it is more of non traditional as the ceremony and reception happened at the same day starting from Hamilton to Stoney Creek and then at the Verdi in Mississauga. We are shooting John and Aerin’s wedding this September in Vaughan. The wedding photography package that they booked included an E-Session or Engagement Photoshoot however you call it it’s the same, it’s a fun afternoon of lovey-dovey shooting They went for the “Nature Theme” so we went to the Toronto High Park and incorporated the trees and the birds in the shots. Here are some of our favourites.

The High Park is just west of Downtown Toronto and a favourite spot for wedding photographers because of it’s very many nice locations to shoot, you can go here many times and make different looks each time, the best thing is parking is free!
